10 QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR WEDDING HAIRSTYLIST

Ok, so your looking for a wedding hairstylist and you have a million and one questions to ask about your hair! I have listed some of my most popular asked questions but if you have any others then feel free to ask.
1. What happens on my hair trial?
I like to book an hour and a half for every client who has a hair trial. In this time I can do one complete style – if you are certain of what you want OR I can try 2-3 different styles depending on the complexity and time frame.
I recommend trials are usually done 1 month before the wedding date to ensure its fresh in both my mind and also my clients. Also if you’re anything like me I change my mind constantly and wouldn’t probably want something I chose 6 months ago.
Bringing some inspiration of styles you like on the trial day is always the best way to start. I’ll also discuss with you what you don’t like, what your dress, veil and makeup is like to help suggest ideas for your hair which I think would work best.
2. What if I decide the style doesn’t suit me even though i’ve asked for it?
Honesty is always best and I love it when clients feel at ease to tell me if they don’t like something and would like to change it slightly.  It’s always better to say before the style is completely finished if something just isn’t working for you and move onto something else.
3. Where do the trials take place?
At the moment all trials are done completely mobile but at some point in the future I’ll be able to offer a choice of mobile or salon based.
4. If I want a second trial is it included in the price?
All additional trials are charged at £40 per 1 hour 30.
5. What shall I do with my hair before the wedding day?
I always find if the client washes their hair the night before and blasts the roots dry it gives the best texture to work with.
6. Do you work with a make up artist?
I work with a number of makeup artists which I fully recommend and can be all found here
7. Will you be doing any other weddings on the same day as mine?
I will usually only book one wedding a day. I feel that such an important morning shouldn’t feel rushed for the bridal party. I will be there until just before the ceremony to do any finishing touches or to add your veil / hair piece.
8. Will you travel to the venue on my wedding day?
I am happy to travel to any location for the bridal hair on the day of the wedding. Locations further afield will be charged travel time and expenses but this will be confirmed and agreed before booking. I also travel internationally – Please contact me for prices on international weddings.
9. Do you bring an assistant to help?
This all depends on the size of the bridal party and the time that you’d need to all be ready for. If needed, I will have an assistant on hand to begin prepping hair and cut the time in half.
10. Can you provide hair extensions if needed?
I supply a range of beautiful clip in human hair extensions which I find the easiest to work with and the most natural looking. They come in 8 piece sets which means you can have just a small amount of thickness or a full head. I am also trained in mini tip individual hair extensions which are a more permanent option and perfect for a bride who is off on her honeymoon straight after!
I hope these 10 Q and A’s help you when booking your wedding hair my lovelies!
